For the first time in a few weeks we had a duration of not falling / blowing snow and a bit of sun. This, of course, lasted for only a few hours. In any event, this allowed for Stone an I to run a couple of errands: taking out the trash and checking on drying laundry. We wanted to test out his new "ride" as well. A warm layer, a hat and mittens and he was ready for the ride. Now, it was still in the 20's so we were not out too long; however, the sun on our faces felt good and brought a smile simply being outside. The trip was quick and uneventful, a bit of snow pile smashing at the end, then back into the box.
This evening I was slightly behind in dinner prep and we heated up some beef (ribeye) from a previous meal. This was Stone's first go and bits of beef. He has taken very well to chicken - I feel sorry for all chickens born in the next thirty of forty years - and we figured this would go equally as well. We were correct, as he was shoveling it in. If he realized he could use both hands at once, he would have.
Otherwise, we spend most of the day romping about the living room, moving from toy to toy. He is also becoming more interested in books, handing them to you. In some cases he is patient enough to make it to the end; however, in most cases about halfway through he moves on. He does really well not getting out, and I try to take from his positivity with the situation.
A few pics in the "new" album.
